A year ago this month I was challenged by a friend to try the Paleo diet. What started out as a 30 day challenge turned into a year long lifestyle.
I never knew how much it would change my body and how fast it would change. I have been able to see drastic results not only in my body but in my health. I no longer have headaches, joint pain or stomach issues. It has changed my life in such a great way. I realized that I was gluten intolerant. I also realized that I could work out half as much as I use to and get better results. They say that “abs come from the kitchen not the gym” and I truly believe it.

I am so blessed to have other people join me in this challenge and they too have seen drastic results. I no longer miss the gluten. I feel so good and at 30 I am in the best shape of my life.

I challenge you to try the 30 day paleo challenge. I promise it will change your life! Below I have attached the grocery list for week one and two as a guide. Week three and four are left for you to do since you are learning how to live paleo! I believe you can do it :)

    Hey Robin, i’m from argentina and i want to start this diet for so long, but i’m always scared about what if i fail and i get worst than i am? I know i have to leave these thoughts away and start. I think today is the day i decide to start. It is going to be a difficult journey kicking off flour but i will stick with it, i know results will come fast and i will be more and more motivated on it. thank you for such a great blog and company for all.       Don’t be afraid to fail! You can do this and you will be so happy you did when you start to feel results. Please stick with it for the 30 days and write me as much as you need to. Please keep in touch so I know how you are doing. I will be here to encourage you through it.

    Robin, I came across your website from pinterest and I am glad that I did. I already eat 70 % gluten free but I’ve been dying to try this and your you detailed oriented and the fact that you help with the food and exercise is fantastic! A few questions and I am sure you have answered these already but I do not have the time to read through each comment :) I am planning to start this December 1. I do not like salmon…. what can I substitute that with? I do not like Avocado….. what can I put in the tuna fish? The eggs, bacon and avocado.. what could i put in place of the avocado? As far as alcohol can I drink at all during the 30 days? It will be Christmas and my family loves wine, please advise. I also do not eat squash so the spaghetti squash meal, what can i replace that with? Can any of the meals on the plan be substituted out with something else ?

      Hi Allison! So glad you found this on pinterest and want to try it. So many of my friends bugged me to lay it out for them so that’s why I decided to put it together on a blog :) You can swap out any of the meals in the challenge. To sub the avocado I would eat any leafy greens like spinach or kale. One glass of wine is ok but not for the first 30 days. I want you to get the best results so no alcohol sorry. Please keep in touch so I know how you are doing. I know the holidays especially are hard for people to stick to this but it will be totally worth it!

    Hi! I love this blog. I have a question me and a group of my girlfriends are about to start this challenge. Can we replace some of the recipes or suggested food items with other paleo recipes you have. Also instead of eggs and such for breakfast could we do a breakfast smoothie?

      HI Ashley :) That’s amazing that you are doing this with a group of friends so you can help each other through it. Support is huge in starting a challenge like this! Yes you can sub any of the meals in the challenge for any paleo recipes on the blog and there are a few smoothies listed on there as well. Please keep in touch and take before and after pics!

    Also when i’m doing the workouts it doesn’t seem to burn that much when they say it does in the videos… and since it’s only day 5, it takes time for results to show, am I correct?

      Yes depending on your body and how much weight you may have to lose it takes time for results. Also as you are working out and building muscle you are putting on weight so you shouldn’t put all your focus on numbers. I hope that helps.

    HI Robin, I just started the challenge and i’m on day 5 so far. I can really tell a difference in my strength level and the way my cloths are fitting.I was wondering if there is any fruit that goes with the challenge. I was looking at the days and say that there was not a whole lot of fruit. Could you please explain so that I know why? Thanks so much.

      Hi Megan I’m glad you are doing this challenge! I have added limited amounts of fruit in the challenge because the amount of sugar that fruit naturally contains. It is better to eat more vegetables and meat than fruit. Thank you for writing me and please keep in touch so I can hear your progress :)

    I heard about your site on Pinterest and I’m now on day 6! My mood and energy have already improved so much and my clothes are fitting better. I can’t believe I’m actually excited about the weigh-in tomorrow! Lol. I was wondering what you would suggest as a follow up to the 30 days. Should I just repeat the challenge? How can I maintain or fine tune the results? Thank you a million times and I hope you have a blessed day!

      Well I am so proud of you for doing this. I have now been doing this for over 2.5 years so yes to keep doing it. You can change up the food by going to my blog and looking at all the new paleo recipes I have added. I also add facebook posts everyday. If you really want to see great results add weights to every exercise. You must do this to see drastic results. please keep in touch along the way!!!!

    Hi Robin, First let me start off by saying that you are a truly blessing to us all! The time and effort you’ve put into this challenge/your website, proves just how passionate your are about your health, but most importantly helping others! :) Praise God! I just have a question regarding fat. I noticed not all meals include a healthy fat. Is it ok to add a healthy fat (avacoda, homemade Paleo mayo, olives, etc.) to every meal or should we follow the meals exactly as outlined for the best results?       First off I don’t even know where to start. You have no idea what a blessing your email is. It came on a day that I really felt low. It’s funny how God works around me sometimes. I have to laugh cause when I don’t even know where to find strength to answer any more emails. I open yours and read your verse. tears run down my face because it is exactly what I needed to hear and yet I have never even met you. I shared your verse on my personal facebook page as a reminder to myself today! Thank you OK to answer your question. Try to stick with the plan as much as possible after the 30 days add in whatever healthy fats you want. Your body will need them. If you are already really lean then you can add them in now.     My sister and I are starting the challenge Monday. Do you suggest the workouts be done in the evening or can they be done any time during the day.?

      Hi Jabier, I’m so glad you and your wife are doing this together. That’s an amazing support system. No men do not need a different plan other then they need to eat more veggies throughout the day. So if where your wife might eat 6 to 7 oz at every meal you will need to be eating 8 to 10 oz. Several men have done this same exact plan and had great great great results. My friend and I ate this way for a month. He is 6’2 and I am 5’9 both of us were fine with the amount of food we were eating. I’m here if you have any questions along the way. Don’t forget to take before and after pictures!

    Hi!! I found this challenge about 5 weeks before my wedding last October. I did this challenge for about three weeks and I actually had to STOP because my results were beyond amazing and I couldn’t afford to lose more weight or my wedding dress wouldn’t fit anymore. Can you believe it! I’ve never had that happen to me. Since then I haven’t been so great following any regimen and now I have to get back in business! I plan on starting the challenge again , would you think replacing the workout videos you have on this challenge with four 1 hour Zumba classes be a good alternative? Some of those Zumba classes incorporate toning with weights.

    Hi there! I am planning on taking the challenge soon. Are there certain condiments or spices that can be used freely in your recipes to add more flavor? Like onion powder, mustard, BBQ sauce, relish, etc.? Thank you!

      When it comes to condiments you can use Paleo sauces, Make your own paleo sauces, or add salt, pepper, garlic, and other seasonings like that. Please let me know if you have any other questions

    Hi Robin. Im looking at these pictures of others who have tried the 30 day challenge and I’m convinced to try it, but I can’t seem to find what the exact challenge is. Is this because your website is currently receiving a makeover or is the challenge just eating what is on the grocery list? I’d like to understand what paleo actually means and guidelines to successfully complete the challenge. Help?

    Hi Robin! I did your challenge last fall and had awesome results. With the holidays I slowly started cheating more and more. I started this week strict again. I was just wondering how you felt about like the Jennie-O lean turkey sausages. Or really any of the Jennie-O products. In the area I live in, it’s hard finding good meat.       Though it is not my first choice it is sometimes really hard to find great food where we live. I would say yes to using these if you can not find other great quality meats.     Hi Robin! I just want to thank you so much for this challenge! Today is Day 30 for me, and I feel amazing and at age 30 with a 9-month old at home I don’t think my body has ever looked this good. My son has also enjoyed the meals and I feel so good about feeding him all these healthy foods, especially all the veggies; not to mention my milk production has gone way up! I am now hoping I will be able to continue this healthy lifestyle now that the challenge is over!

    Hi!! For day1 the breakfast quiche how many are we supposed to eat? if we dont want the two eggs and bacon. I wake up really early in the morning and dont have time to cook. I would rather bake the quiche and grab and go in the mornings. But idk how many portions of this quiche are we supposed to eat.

    Hi Robin! I completed the 30 day challenge, lost 10 pounds, and a few inches! I’m feeling great; however, I seemed to have plateaued with the weight loss the past few weeks. I have Celiac disease, so I am definitely sticking to the diet. What could I change or try to get my body moving again?? Thanks!

    Super excited I found this 30 day challenge on Pinterest. I started on Paleo over a year ago. Had great results, fell off the wagon, gained it all back plus some. Started back in January at 80/20, however, I’ve never been great at the working out part. Hoping this layout will keep me going. I’m assuming its fine to change the recommended food to any other paleo friendly recipe?

      Hi I am so glad you are doing this. I would say you need to do a few things, Up your water intake, up your leafy green veggies like kale and spinach and last add weights (heavy weights) to all your workouts. Also keep in touch so I know how you are doing :) xoxoxo

    Is it ok to drink the hot lemon water twice a day, morning and night? Also, I’m on day 12 and I still get really tired later in the day. Is there anything you could suggest for that?

      Yes you can drink it both times. The more the better. I would suggest eating more leafy greens. This will give you more iron and vitamins. keep in touch
